Non-surgical Rhinoplasty

I've been doing a fair bit of this simple procedure lately and patients love the subtle results.
All it takes is a little bit of Restylane Perlane ( Some people use Radiesse but I prefer Perlane) and what a difference it can make. What is fantastic about Perlane is that  is a form of Hyaluronic acid which is naturally found in the human body. Also it is reversible with a simple injection of Hyalase. It is a cost effective procedure and results are immediate.

Ideal Candidate for the Procedure
Patients who wish to diminish the appearance of bumps on their nose.
Patients who have dents, hollowness or indentations, or have noses which look asymmetric.
Patients who have a flat nasal bridge, and wish to create a bridge or augment their original bridge. This is a very common request in the Asian and African American population.
Patients with droopy tips or downward appearing tips who wish to raise the tip of the nose. ( In certain circumstances this can be done with a combination of Botox and Fillers)
Patients who have had surgical nose jobs in the past and are unhappy with the appearance of their noses and are left with irregular dents or bumps.

It's important to note that not everyone is a suitable candidate and some patients may require surgery for functional and aesthetic reasons.

Have a look below at some of the results that can be achieved.

  1. That looks absolutely amaaaazing!! I have a bump and a dent in my nose, due to breaking it several times as a child and i now suffer with bad sinusitus too. How long does this result last and how often should one go for touch-up?

    1. Hi, depends on the filler being used - with Perlane an annual (every 12 months) touch-up should be fine. It is purely for cosmetic reasons so for the sinusitis I suggest you also see an ENT, Facial Plastic Surgeon or a Specialist Head and Neck Surgeon for a consult to determine the cause of and possible treatment of your sinusitis

    2. Thank you very much for the feedback ;) How much does this cost approximately? Cant it cause any long term damage to one's nose?

  2. I use Perlane - on average a vial of Perlane costs between R2800- R3500. rarely is a whole vial used for the nose ( I often do the nose in conjunction with other areas of the face). If the nose is done by itself I charge per a 0.1ml ( R290 per a 0.1ml) .

In terms of safety - the risks and benefits will be explained to you on consultation. The short term possible side effects include swelling, tenderness and bruising. Long term effects there is none but a possible side effect would be necrosis of a blood vessel ( this is only if filler is injected directly into a blood vessel which is extremely rare especially with the new micro cannulae ) . Granuloma is another possible rare side effect - your body's immune response to the filler. Perlane is pure HA - so these reactions are very very rare. it is important to know which filler you are being injected with and possible side effects of that particular filler. Stay away from obscure fillers!
