Men Look Where Repost

How do different genders and nationalities respond to the visual stimuli of an attractive woman?

That’s what a French study aimed to find out when they tracked the eye movement of 210 men and women from 7 countries.

“Participants viewed the stimuli [picture above] for 20 seconds each and no other directions were provided,” says the company who did testing in the USA.

Some key takeaways from the experiment?

Males gaze lingered on the chest 37% longer than females.

French and Danish men spent almost twice as long on the chest as men from other countries

French women viewed the chest for nearly as long as French men

Danish men viewed her chest 106% more than Danish women, providing the biggest gender disparity of any country (for the chest)

Across all genders and nationalities subjects spent the most time viewing the face

Females were drawn to the eyes while males focused on the lips.

The disparity of viewing times between men and women was the smallest for French participants

As for the chest-staring clearly French women don’t have issues staring at another woman’s cleavage and is anyone too shocked that on average men looked more than women? But to be fair, that model has really large boobs. Men may look at her face longer but I'm sure they didn't look there first!

What this study does emphasize, however, is the appeal of the fresh-eyed, lush-lipped face across the world

Forget about Trout Pout - New Age Lips

As illustrated in a previous blog post - your mouth is a very prominent feature of your face – after your eyes – it’s important you keep a head of lip wrinkles, loss of volume and sagging as these problems develop.

I use a holistic approach to restoring volume and revitalizing your lips as well as individualizing all our treatments to your needs. Smooth, soft, hydrated ,naturally- shaped lips and a firm, wrinkle free, mouth are key to a more youthful, refreshed face.

Using the most clinically studied Hyaluronic Acid Dermal filler in the world I can augment your lips , boost the curve of your Cupid ’s bow and re-shape your lips to give you a soft, perfect pout. No Trout Pout or Dreaded Duck Lip –  trust us to sculpt and plump your lips to perfection.

By injecting tiny amounts of non-animal based, stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) into lips, our treatment gives you the opportunity to temporarily halt or even reverse the aging process by restoring volume and elasticity where you need it most. After one short treatment, the lip is naturally ‘plumped up’, the appearance of lines and wrinkles are diminished and there is a marked improvement in suppleness. NASHA Dermal fillers are safe and long lasting and  provide a youthful lift to your appearance and an invaluable boost to your confidence.

To further enhance the lips fine lines are smoothed and softened by an innovative treatment from Restylane – The Restylane Vital Light Pen Injector. This treatment restores the skin’s hydro balance and softens the “bar-coded” look otherwise known as Smoker’s Lines.

In addition to enhancing the lip and the skin around the lip with dermal fillers , neuromodulators like Botox™ can be used to lift the corners of a down-turned mouth as well as to relax a tight, wrinkly chin (this can affect the appearance of the lower lip)

I AVOID doing this!

*Faints

My Lust Have Must Have.

I know I sold mine in a "monk-who-sold-his-Ferrari" moment . I later realized that I am not a monk and everytime I see versions of my old car (every single day - about 10 scoot around the 'burb) or the snazzy numbers that vroom about on the weekend my heart goes 'wow' (said it soft, sharp whisper).

Worst.Transformer.Ever

This is my BlackBerry . It has been through a lot. I've put it against the Cheesy Gym Bag in the hopes that  it looks a bit better. Lol, I could lie and say I set it on airplane mode , threw it up in the air and discover that it is the Worst. Transformer. Ever. I've dropped this phone many many times and it's looked like this for some time and functions at almost 100% (it doesn't read the memory card). I used to be Sony Ericsson Fan (still am I think) - I still have all my old Sony's and they've helped me out when the BB blacked out.

I'm thinking of switching again - perhaps back to Sony or to "the dark side" - the iPhone. I put it out there - and even though people upgraded to the new BB bold - most wanted an iPhone. Also a tech savvy cousin mentioned that the Samsung is tops at the moment - I know he's right but brand loyalty and brand desire (in terms of the iPhone) are both clouding my judgement a bit.

iPhone vs BlackBerry vs Android

The iPhone has spawned a website dedicated to its infamous "auto-corrects". An AutoCorrect is now a noun the same way BBM is now an accepted verb.

Woohoo The Faith is Restored - I can Bake!

My Tropical Passion Fruit, Coconut and Coconut Milk Mini Cakes

I can't help myself, I love experimenting and sometimes it's a miss but sometimes it's a hit. Luckily my take on this humble plain cake recipe turned out well

This smelled amazing -so fresh and tropical

Check out my Cupcake in a Cone Idea.
The Cupcakes should be eaten on the same day as the cones get soggy.

My Husband laughed at my crazy,wall-throwing coconut breaking antics. The first went well but  the second needed an intervention from him before I broke more then the coconut. I grated the coconut
and added some sugar. It took a bit of restraint not to eat most of the sweetened coconut. Also instead of Milk I used super-creamy coconut Milk in the recipe

I drank a bit a of the coconut water before the pic and drank the rest after

The Butter Cream Icing is also full of Fresh Coconut and Passion Fruit

My Icing skills , I must admit are very "rustic"

I also made these Bran Muffins with raisins, cranberries, cinnamon, fresh apples, carrots and organic banana. I tested the cakes and muffins on the family and got the thumbs up. If I do say so myself they kicked ass.

Recent Buys

These were taken during the "digital detox" on our deck. The purple snake-skins are ALDO, the lacy stillettos are Prato, The blue heels are Errol Arendz (love the little shoe bags so I'm going to get them made for all my shoes), The black and white snake-skins are Free2BU. I wear my Vintage-esque, gran-type(LOL) floral maxi dress quite a bit - it's really comfy, flowy and romantical. The animal print clutch is G couture - it fits quite a bit in the bag. The other bag is an actual mother-of-pearl shell bag bought in Koh Samui
