People with slightly crooked teeth who don't want to spend the time or money it takes for fixed metal orthodontic appliances (a.k.a braces), now have another option with Invisalign's recently announced express option that can correct minor alignment and spacing issues in three months or less.
The original version of Invisalign, which can help severe misalignment issues, requires a series of 18 to 30 sets of clear, plastic aligners that are switched out every few weeks. Each set of aligners brings the teeth closer to the desired position, and the entire process can take an average of 12 months to see full results.
The "express" version cuts the protocol down to five sets of aligners that work in the same manner, but correct minor crowding and straightening issues within just three months
